    THE DESIGN

    Production

    We design small collections in Barcelona of timeless garments, wardrobe staples, and original prints with limited units to ensure that there are no excesses in production and to be able to adapt to your own demand.

    Our main goal is to offer comfortable and soft garments that allow you to feel very comfortable in your day-to-day life, performing any activity.

    We create easy-to-wear designs, paying close attention to detail: with meticulously crafted patterns, where each selected fabric and the placement of the seams are key to obtaining a La Comet garment.

    Pattern making

    We create intelligent patterns, designed so that by combining the cut, fabric and design elements they can adapt to all types of bodies, even those garments designed as one size fits all.

    On the other hand, during the cutting and sewing process, thanks to the implemented technology, we manage to fit the pattern to the fabric in such a way that 97% of the textile is used.

    The tissues

    As of today, 80% of our collection is made with sustainable fabrics of natural origin and 10% with recycled fabrics, especially cotton, linen, viscose and polyester, and our intention is to reach 40% by 2026.

    The Prints

    All our printed garments are made using an innovative digital printing technique. The benefits of this technology include reduced water and energy consumption.

    Furthermore, with this printing method we avoid production surpluses since it prints according to the design pattern and only what is needed for each garment.

    98% of our suppliers are local, located in Europe, mostly in Italy, within a radius of up to 1,000 km from our headquarters in Esplugues de Llobregat.

    Our close relationship with our suppliers allows us to make constant in-person visits to ensure that quality and sustainability standards are maintained in our processes and products.

    TRANSPORTING PRODUCTS FROM ASIA RESULTS IN 7.5 TIMES MORE CO2 EMISSIONS THAN FROM EUROPE.

    Our production processes and supplier selection reduce our CO2 emissions by 40% each year.
    Within our Sustainability plan, one of our main objectives is to continue reducing our carbon footprint until we become a Carbon Neutral company by 2050.

    Suppliers

    All the suppliers we work with have gone through a thorough selection and auditing process carried out firsthand by members of our product team, in which we assess whether they meet the requirements of current environmental and ethical criteria.

    We also work with local suppliers who adhere to European regulatory standards and are highly specialized in a specific type of material and technique, with innovative processes that aim to maximize resources and minimize their impact.

    ECOLOGICAL LABEL

    Packaging

    Each garment that La Comet makes each year comes with a seed tag.

    These labels are made of cotton and recycled paper with chamomile seeds encapsulated inside.

    ZERO PLASTICS

    We have eliminated plastic from all LA COMET packaging.
    All of our packaging is sustainable, made from 100% recyclable paper and cardboard, including the packaging for physical stores and the tape we use to close the boxes for our online orders and distribution channel.
